AI images on mobile: choosing the right framing

Compare portrait, landscape and square formats for AI creations viewed on phones and in galleries.

Portrait, landscape or square

Portrait gives the subject more vertical space; landscape leaves more room for surroundings; square can balance the two. Choose for the composition, not just the device used to generate it. Changing format may alter object placement rather than simply crop the same result.

Anticipate the thumbnail

A gallery card and a full-screen view may display an image differently. Keep important visual information away from the edges and check the preview. A cropped thumbnail does not mean the original file is incomplete. Open the creation before deciding a detail has disappeared.

Check an ordinary connection

Detailed images require more data to transfer. Wait for loading to finish before judging sharpness and avoid repeated submissions on a slow network. On a phone, also check contrast and control readability. Higher resolution cannot repair an unclear composition.
