Adult AI illustration: choosing an art direction

Choose what should stay consistent

A coherent art direction can use a limited palette, consistent outlines and a restrained setting. Describe these choices visually rather than piling up artist names. The purpose is to clarify your intention, not to promise an exact reproduction of an existing artwork.

Balance texture and readability

Numerous textures may enrich a background but make the character harder to read on a phone. Check silhouette and contrast at small size, then inspect details at larger size. An illustration works better when its main elements remain recognisable without zooming. Keep the character clearly adult without ambiguity introduced by a drawn style.

Compare useful variations

Keep the overall idea and change a single property: palette, framing or lighting. This helps identify what actually improves the image. The model and available settings influence the result; a description alone cannot guarantee the same appearance across engines. Always inspect a creation before adding it to a public gallery.
